On our way home from THE PARTY last night…..my hubby mentioned that his 1 year anniversary working for the world's most generous family & company was upon us. August marks one year of some of the best change we've experienced in our 25 years of marriage. Accepting the job with the Hageman's was a wise move! We are even more honored a year later….knowing that they only choose the best of people to surround themselves with to work towards success in all their business ventures. We know, our place is important to them because they lavish each employee with kindness, support and blessings! They know….how to love their team and we love….being on it!
About the party….
The invitation said, "Come out to our ANNUAL fish fry!". Who knew that we'd be met by parking attendants navigating hundreds of cars? The ride up the hill was only the beginning of the fun.
These people do not party, half-way! Oh no, they go all out and because of their huge hearts….they make sure to show all their guests a great time!
This "fancy" fish fry was hosted by Shad & Sara Schenck. Sara is the oldest Hageman child and the lady is a beautiful and gracious host. It only took a matter of seconds for me to decide that this place was my favorite house within the family dynasty. Shad and Sara have thought of everything and their home is a reflection of all that they love and want their guests to enjoy too.
And it is absolutely stunnning….to boot!
Why yes, that is a monster treehouse. Who doesn't have something like this in their yard?
These triple bunks were adorable! I wanted to spend the night in this dream house. The views were fantastic too!
Oh and of course….that is a zip-line! The long line of people taking a turn on the wild side was proof that this party was the bomb!
Just a peek looking back down the driveway.
A blurry snap of the far side of their house. Loved the rock surrounded garden pond. I have a weakness for ponds. It reminded me….how I miss having one in my yard.
I forgot to mention….this is NOT just their house. It is a gorgeous working farm. Down yonder sits the fireworks crew who would wow us all with their show at 10pm.
Watching the sun set over the cornfields. My kind of living.
Then things got real. I went on the BABY TOUR! Nathan & Erin have been married 7 years and have just had their first baby a few weeks ago. I've been dying to see him and get my hands on him. He is everything you could imagine. Just precious! God bless baby Lane and his mama & daddy. What awesome parents they are already!
When one baby goes to sleep….hand me another. Some people drink beer, I hold and rock babies! It's a deep burning fire inside my heart. Babies are scrumptious! I can't even imagine how bonkers I'll be when my own grown kids marry and pop out babies. Look out world! Craziest grandma alert! This is baby Olive. She belongs to Stephany & Sloan. Stephany is the Hageman's baby girl. Only she's all grown up and married now. I volunteer to hold all babies from here on out at all Hageman functions! Just keep em coming, y'all!
Time to celebrate!
Boom! Pow!
What a great night! Even the weather was perfect!
Thank you Shad & Sara for hosting one of the best fish fry/picnics I've ever attended! Your farm is beautiful as well as your hospitality! We are honored that you included us in your fun!
