And the rains came tumbling down….

Monday, July 6th, 2009

If you live anywhere near Indiana….then you know exactly what I’m talking about. This 4th of July was a monsoon! There wasn’t a dry moment the entire holiday. We southerners….stayed inside where it was dry and cozy! Oh the fun we missed! NOT!

On Sunday, we thought it would be fun to take our kids over to Madison Indiana (the Madison Regatta was going on)….and we had a gift certificate for Key West Shrimp House. The giftcard was a gift hubby received for interim pastoring back in October….yes, we’ve had it that long. We’ve been waiting for a good time to use it. Except that evidently yesterday wasn’t a good time because they were closed when we arrived.

But……we did see some of this….

These boats are amazing! They were flying by. I couldn’t get a picture of them making the turn. Yikes! I couldn’t believe how fast they were going and then turning around. Very cool!
Our kids were starving….so we headed back to town for a delicious meal from Sonic! I really wanted to see more of the boat races….but oh well. Maybe next year! 🙂

oh….I did see on the nightly news that one of the driver’s flipped his boat the day before. Scary!
