I’m Crazy For Weekends

Monday, December 5th, 2011

After what could be described as a challenging week last week…God had big plans for me to enjoy my weekend! Thank you, Jesus. I’ve spent it wisely because I believe in being a good steward, don’t you?

Stick with me while I reflect.

We finally finished decorating the Christmas tree. It was a complete step-by-step no thanks to the high stress of the week. But it’s all over now and I’m enjoying the sparkly lights in my cozy living room.

Ally talked me into having a McDonald’s McCafe on our way to shop Saturday. Have you tried the Peppermint Hot Chocolate? It’s delicious and tastes suspiciously like an Andes Mint or a Peppermint Patty. All good stuff to me. Oh and they are on sale right now for a $1.00. Uhh, hello drive-thru!

I’m nearly finished with my Christmas shopping. I ordered some “important” Christmas gifts online and didn’t even have to fight a crowded store. I LOVE ONLINE SHOPPING!!! NOTE: In my jammies!

Went to church with my hubby and sat side-by-side. That doesn’t happen very often. I’m thankful we could worship together.

My sweetboy Gavin kept the fireplace blazing ALL WEEKEND LONG!! He’s a pyromaniac clone of his father (the man I love so much). Not only did he keep us super warm…he also stepped in and cared for his sick little sister while we were out shopping on Saturday! Makes me feel extra proud that he’s my boy! Oh, and he SOLD HIS CAR! Goodbye old friend!

Our dog Lizzy went to the beauty parlour and came back fabulous! We bought her a new sweater and she even got lucky enough to have her own meatball. Notice her patience? hehe

She ate the whole thing. It was as big as her head! πŸ˜‰

One more photo before I close. Don’t be alarmed, I’m not trying to be embarrassing. This is Gavin, he’s helping under the tree and I jokingly took the picture. Then later he was telling me a story about how cats act when they want your attention. It was so funny…..and looked a little something like this! —->

Seriously, if you run into Gavin sometime…you must have him repeat the cat performance! You will L A U G H !! And who doesn’t like to do that?

I pray you have a great week and that all the holiday stress remains far away. πŸ™‚
